Tamia Gordon is an executive coach, leadership strategist, attorney, and former United States Marine Corps leader who partners with senior executives, attorneys, government leaders, and high-performing professionals to strengthen leadership effectiveness, navigate complex transitions, and lead with greater clarity, resilience, and purpose. Drawing on a multidisciplinary background spanning law, military service, higher education, organizational leadership, and executive coaching, Tamia brings a grounded, strategic, and deeply human-centered approach to leadership development. 

Tamia specializes in coaching leaders operating in high-stakes and high-demand environments. Her work focuses on executive presence, strategic decision-making, authentic leadership, emotional intelligence, professional identity, and sustainable performance. Informed by neuroplasticity principles, her coaching approach helps leaders recognize patterns, expand perspective, and develop the mindset and behavioral agility necessary to lead effectively through change and uncertainty. 

Tamia has coached and advised leaders across the federal government, military, higher education, and corporate sectors, including senior professionals within U.S. District Court, the Departments of Defense, Veterans Affairs, State, and Energy. She is particularly skilled in supporting executives and emerging leaders navigating professional inflection points, organizational complexity, and transitions into expanded leadership responsibility or transitions into new career roles. Her clients value her ability to create a trusted and reflective coaching partnership that combines strategic rigor with candor, empathy, and accountability. 

Prior to her coaching career, Tamia worked as an associate in intellectual property law and also served in the United States Marine Corps as a Judge Advocate. She went on to hold senior legal and executive leadership roles across the federal government. She served as Chief Administrative Law Judge for three separate federal agencies, leading adjudicatory operations and large teams, advising executive leadership, and overseeing complex legal and operational matters within highly regulated environments. She later served in the Senior Executive Service as Chief Operating Officer at the U.S. Department of Energy, where she led enterprise-wide operational strategy, organizational management, and executive-level initiatives in support of critical national priorities. These experiences continue to shape her leadership philosophy and provide her with a sophisticated understanding of institutional dynamics, executive decision-making, and mission-driven leadership. 

Tamia has also held leadership and advisory roles across legal, academic, and organizational settings, bringing a nuanced perspective on workforce development, leadership under pressure, and organizational transformation. 

Tamia holds degrees including a Juris Doctor, Master of Business Administration, Master of Science [Inorganic Chemistry], Bachelor of Science [Chemistry], and Associate of Arts [Arabic Linguistics]. She is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and completed executive coach training through the Georgetown University Leadership Coaching Program. Her work reflects a deep commitment to helping leaders expand possibility, elevate performance, and lead in alignment with their values and vision.
