Nancy has more than twenty-five years of experience counseling law students and lawyers of all levels. She has worked with hundreds of attorneys, assisting them in defining their professional brands, navigating the job search process and successfully managing career transitions. Prior to joining Volta, Nancy was the Director of Career Development at The George Washington University Law School.
Nancy is certified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®), the Strong Interest Inventory® (SII®) and the Hogan Assessments. She is also certified by the Behavioral Coaching Institute (BCI) as a master coach, has completed coaches training at the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD), and is trained and certified in Mental Health First Aid by the National Council for Behavioral Health. She holds an M.Ed. in Human Resource Development with emphasis on Counseling from The George Washington University School of Education and a BA from Vanderbilt University.
Nancy is a member of The National Association for Law Placement (NALP) and was active in the Washington Area Legal Recruitment Administrators Association (WALRAA). She volunteers with the Girl Scouts of Washington, the DC Council and has volunteered in the College and Career Center at T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria, Virginia, where she counseled high school students on the college application process.
