Michael has a diverse range of experiences working in top global law firms, including serving as a partner, a chief marketing officer, a chief knowledge officer, and the founder of an innovative non-profit. In 2021, the Financial Times named Michael as the “Most innovative law firm change maker.” He also now serves as the chair of the board of ScaleJustice (formerly Pro Bono Net), the organization he co-founded.
He leverages these experiences to help individuals, teams, and firms achieve success. He does so by offering a range of services, including executive coaching, training, and consulting. Key areas of expertise include strategy, all aspects of marketing and business development, partner and leader training, leading teams, knowledge, innovation and AI.
Michael's approach to coaching centers on listening deeply to each person’s experiences, understanding their environment and co-creating practical steps for achieving important goals. His years of experience navigating complex, matrixed global organizations allow him to provide unique insights and highly relevant guidance.
He holds an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University, a master's degree from the University of Chicago, and a J.D. from Columbia Law School. He is a graduate of the iCoach Executive Coaching and Volta Coach Training programs. He is certified to conduct assessments including Hogan, Smarter Collaboration Profiles and Smarter Collaboration 360s.
Michael lives in Brooklyn with his spouse. He has two children and is also an avid dog lover.
