Volta Talent Strategies Launches Innovative ICF-approved Coach Training Program

New York, December 11, 2019

Volta Talent Strategies has created a unique coach training program specifically designed for law firm professionals who want to coach lawyers and other legal industry professionals. Including representatives from leading law firms, the first cohort of Volta Certified Coaches graduated from the program in September 2019.

“Our mission is to transform the legal industry by creating and growing coaching cultures that are inclusive and collaborative and where people are engaged, inspired and happy” says Sang J. Lee, Volta’s CEO. “By creating this one-of-a-kind coach training program, we have taken an important step toward helping to train and develop in-house law firm coaches who will in turn develop and expand the coaching capabilities within their firms.”

Designed by Sang Lee and Whittney Beard and other members of Volta’s lawyer coach team, the intensive 15-week program is the only ICF-accredited coaching certification program that focuses on executive and leadership coaching for lawyers. Having been approved by the International Coach Federation, Volta’s program provides its graduates with 70 hours of coach specific training, meeting the training requirements necessary to apply for the ICF’s ACC credential. The program is designed to fit with a busy law firm professionals’ schedule and combines in-person modules with distance learning. “Volta Coach Training is ideal both for lawyers and professionals responsible for talent management, professional development, HR, diversity, and business development. All of these functions have a vital role to play in creating and sustaining coaching cultures within their firms” says Lee.
